Learn how to find, clean and preserve bones yourself!
Licensed taxidermist Simone Smith and expert ghoul, Haunter Darren, will cover a wide range of information whether you’re just starting out working with bones or if you’ve already had some experience.
We’ll guide you through everything you'll need to know to start collecting and cleaning bones right away. You'll learn about the equipment needed and the different methods of cleaning that you can choose from. And we’ll answer your questions about safe practices and the legalities of bone collecting and selling your finished specimens.
Tickets are $40 each. You will receive a handout, some basic equipment, and all the guidance and instruction we can give you!

The elusive American Jackalope, first spotted in Wyoming in the early 1800s, is a strange rabbit hybrid with the antlers of a deer or antelope. 1934 marked the first time a Jackalope was stuffed, mounted, and put on display, and now you too can learn to taxidermy an American legend.
Join us for a fun afternoon learning to taxidermy a Jackalope with local licensed Taxidermist Simone Smith. In this class you will create a Jackalope shoulder mount that will hang on a plaque. The class will cover the entire process from skinning the animal to fleshing, preserving, mounting, and finishing techniques. In this class you will learn to mount the Jackalope on a professional commercial form and focus on correct facial details and antler placement. No experience is necessary and all experience levels are welcomed. You will leave class with your completed Jackalope and the knowledge and confidence to create future mounts.
